Fresh - around 20 km, from the shore and puffy - was the westerly breeze for the first time yesterday, and all fleets completed two races. Jillian Lee SIN defended her lead in the Radial Girls. She is 9 points ahead of Monika Mikkola FIN before the last races today. Maud Jayet SUI advanced on rank 3 and has to defend the Bronze medal against Marie Barrué FRA one point behind.
Joel Rodriguez ESP won both races of the Radial Boys and extended his lead on 18 points. Considering the forecast fresh wind, the title will be his after today's races. Ryan Lo SIN follows on rank 2, only two points ahead of Gianmarco Planchestainer ITA, and the duel for the Silver medal will be tight.

Italian sailing yacht specialists Perini Navi recently launched their newest yacht, the second in the 60-meter series. She is called "Perseus 3" and is the second of two similar hulls that were ordered from Perini Navi. The first in the 60-meter line was "SeaHawk". The interior work was done in-house by Perini's architects and designers. Accommodation is set up twelve passengers in the available five cabins, one of which has sliding beds. The master stateroom runs across the entire beam and can be divided by a removable wall if required by the owner. This is one of the many custom features the owner requested. Another feature is a bowsprit as the owner wanted to accommodate a larger head sail. Perseus 3 will be carry two 6.20-meter custom-made tenders for guest utilization. There are also two fold-out beach platforms and an infinity pool on the fore deck round out some of the standout features.
The design is in-house and in collaboration with Ron Holland Design and is a blue-water sailer. Perseus 3's 75-meter mast and 23-meter long boom are in carbon fiber as well as her standing rigging. Perseus 3 is also the first Perini Navi yacht to have a carbon fibre bowsprit. The bowsprit was a special request of the owner that will allow for faster sail changes and a larger head sail plan as alluded to earlier. This sloop has an innovative deck layout with six winches for fast tacking and easy handling of halyards and lines. Perseus 3 has a lifting keel that will help her in her ocean-going endeavours. Retracted, it only draws 4.30-meters...decent for a yacht her size. The keel can be extented all the way down to 12.30-meters. Perini Navi also has a third 60-meter blue-water sailing yacht in build.
