Fresh winds above 20 km prevailed yesterday on the Bay of Aarhus DEN where the last two races of the Laser Radial European Championships 2014 were sailed.
A stellar Joel Rodriguez ESP earned the title in the Radial Boys with a 25 points' lead n Ryan Lo SIN. Thanks to a race win, Patrick Döpping DEN moved up on rank 3 winning at the same time the U17-classification.
An overthrow happened in the Radial Girls, as the leading Jillian Lee SIN was forced to abandon the second race and this after a mediocre first race. Monika Mikkola FIN advanced on top, while a close result decided for Marie Barrué FRA as Silver medalist ahead of Maud Jayet SUI with Bronze ! All three will meet again at the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Portugal, where the best juniors from the other continents will be another challenge.
German custom superyacht manufacturer Abeking & Rasmussen successfully completed and delivered their second largest superyacht -to date-, the 81.8-meter "Kibo". She is second to the slightly larger 82-meter "Secret". The large and graceful superyacht Kibo features design both inside and out by the well-known Terance Disdale Design. Delivery came in good time allowing the owners to utilize her for the Summer period. Kibo was launched back in early March 2014.
Kibo was built at Abeking & Rasmussen under hull ID 6497 and with her out of the way, the German superyacht yard can focus fully on the second 81-meter superyacht, presently known as hull 6498. She is expected to launch in 2014 as well. Kibo rises five decks above the waterline and features a reserved paint scheme, sand colour hull and white superstructure with silver-grey accents. Since delivery Kibo has been seen in Stockholm, Sweden.
