Lurssen completes refit of superyacht "Global"

Lürssen has completed the refit on superyacht "Global", formerly known as "Kismet". She left the shipyard at the end of June and is now in the Mediterranean. The hull has been given a new lease of life with a stunning light grey colour and tremendous shine that Tim Morley describes as “a great credit to Lürssen’s refit team and the contractors who undertook the work”. Her helicopter deck has been enhanced and is now significantly larger and safer for regular helicopter operations thanks to the consultancy services of Nigel Watson. The larger helipad was built at Lürssen and incorporates lighting and hinged railings.

Espen Oeino was commissioned to draw the new hull lines, maintaining the DNA of the original design, and the owner is delighted with the result. Minor changes have also been made in the interior, in accordance with the new owner's taste. Kismet was originally delivered in 2007 and has a length of 68.15-meters. Morley Yachts is the owner's representative and Hill Robinson supervised the refit.

Laser - Europacup 2014 - Warnemuende GER - Day 1

After a windless Saturday, opening day of the 2014 Warnemünde Week, the first races of the German Laser Europacup Act were sailed yesterday in a light and very shifty breeze. 
Arran Holman GBR won both heats in the Lasers 4.7 Boys (U18) and Moritz Paschen GER is first in the U-16 rankings. With the Girls, Anna Skaar NOR (U-18) and Jara Seide GER (U-16) are on top. All Laser 4.7 ranking lists. 
In the Lasers Radial, William de Smet BEL, Boys, and Victoria Andrulyte LTU, Girls, are on the first places after two races.

The Laser Standard leader is Herrmann Tomasgaard NOR ahead of Karolis Januliolis LTU.
