Every year, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) never fails to be the launching grounds for outlandish and large designs and this year's event is no exception. This year on the first day alone we have seen from the OceAnco/Vitruvius 105M 'Acquaintance' collaboration to the 85.9M Finantieri 'Ottantacinque' project to even the 139+M superyacht recently signed, the designs keep rolling in. Another one revealed is the 110-meter 'Radiance' design featuring a collaboration between Claydon Reeves and German yard Nobiskrug. The superstructure's central/midship arrangement presents the yacht with a particularly long bow and equally long aft main deck. With the long foredeck, a large helipad can be integrated and with the aft length, pool-mania can be conceptualized.
The pool is an amazing 13-meters in length featuring glass walls that will be sure to stun when the pool is filled and illuminated at night. The layout is a bit different and offers slightly alternate thinking with accommodation offered on the owner's deck. Usually, accommodation on this deck is strictly for the owner of the vessel and considered and designed to be exclusive. Radiance prefers to offer two VIP-category suites on the owner's deck. Four guest suites offer stunning external views thanks to fold-down private balconies . Other nice features envisioned for Radiance include a very large beach club on the aft lower deck, a double height atrium to welcome pleasured guests and semi-private sundeck. The latest E88 Open Flybridge motoryacht from Horizon Yachts has been launched and it is going to a repeat client.
The owners built their first yacht with Horizon Yachts back in 2013 taking delivery of an E78 at the time. Since the owner cruises and charters regularly in the Bahamas, he quickly realized that more space was needed. The only solution was to step up and now he has an E88 - a bit larger than his previous Horizon Yacht-. This build features a four-stateroom layout for guests. Below deck, the four stateroom configuration includes a full-beam master, VIP stateroom in the bow, and two twin guest staterooms. In the master stateroom, this E88 provides a King bed, full walk-in closet, and custom office area with a desk and filing cabinets; the en suite head is off to the port side and offers heated floors for comfort. In the crew quarters, two crew staterooms and two crew heads will accommodate a total of four crew, and a full crew mess ensures privacy for both the owner and crew.
For his new E88, the owner chose Maple as the main wood with accents in Wenge for a modern yet warm feel. In lieu of a formal dining area, he extended the salon forward and incorporated a breakfast bar with stools on the aft side of the galley; when the galley needs to be made private, a Hi/Lo partition with custom leather engraving can be partially or fully raised. As entertaining is a large facet of this owner’s yacht, Horizon designed a large glass and bottle storage cabinet on the port aft salon plus additional bottle storage on the starboard side – between these two cabinets, the owner can store 75 glasses and 90 bottles of wine! "When an owner comes back a second time to build a yacht with you, it is always a wonderful experience,” said Horizon Yachts CEO John Lu. “Having used his E78 extensively, this owner knew exactly what he wanted to include on his E88; it was a wonderful process to watch his E88 go from drawings into the beautiful yacht she is now." Horizon Yachts plans to deliver this new Horizon E88 motoryacht to her new owner in the U.S. this Fall.
