IAG Yachts has delivered their latest yacht -now representing their flagship-, "King Baby". The new luxury motoryacht has three internal decks and an open sundeck partially shaded by custom hardtop. Naval Architecture comes via Sergio Cutolo and exterior design by REDS. On the interior, that was designed and put together by Evan K. Marshall.
King Baby has been constructed to match RINA Class and be MCA compliant. The Evan K. Marshall interior onboard this IAG motoryacht has been done using Black Walnut handcrafted woodwork and stone accents. The accommodation is capable of sleeping as many as twelve guests using five cabins that all have ensuite bathrooms. King Baby offers a sizable sundeck with bar and requisite seating. The deck also showcases a comfortable jacuzzi for her guests. Bare in mind, King Baby is anticipated to be used in charter service. Looking forward, she should be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).
Back in September 2014 YF alerted you to a new 70-meter Studio Vafiadis design proposed by Columbus Yachts. Fast forward to nearly a year later, that same design is presently under construction! Columbus Yachts, which is the yacht brand of the Palumbo Group has started construction on the new 70.60-meter superyacht in its Oceanic line. When completed, this superyacht will represent the largest superyacht built by the Italian-based company. For a 70-meter yacht, this vessel boasts very sleek lines -quite sporty-.
Columbus' yard in Naples, Italy is doing the construction of the 70.60-meter superyacht. It is being built with a steel hull. With a beam of 13.4-meters she is sure to be fairly roomy on the interior. Her estimated gross tonnage is just shy of 2000. A nice feature onboard will be a floodable side garage which will allow entrance and exit from the yacht in grand style. Expect a fairly large beach club along with a breathtaking central spiral staircase piercing all guest decks. The superyacht appears to host a sizable pool on the foredeck. The Columbus Oceanic 70 is expected to sleep up to twelve guests in six suites. Top speed is anticipated to be 18-knots with a higher-cruising speed at 16-knots and the ability to run a 3,000 nautical mile range at that pace. Dial her back further and she can give you just over 5,000 nautical miles.
