Palumbo Group has sold its first ISA superyacht since the acquisition of the Ancona yard was finalised back in August.
The first ISA yacht of the Palumbo era will be the eleventh Sport 120 model. This popular 36.45 metre range already includes Soiree, Sealyon and Canpark.Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of the Palumbo Group, said that while the Sport 120 is not a new project, it is still extremely up-to-date.
He added: “We are committed to leaving the incomparable Italian style of ISA brand unchanged, maintaining all its winning features.”
A fast-planing GRP yacht, the ISA Sport 120 features a raised pilothouse and a dramatic swooping superstructure. Accommodation for up to 10 guests is split across five cabins, while the crew quarters allows for a staff of five. One of the key areas on board is the stylish superyacht sundeck, which features an outdoor dining area and a circular spa pool.
Palumbo Group has yet to reveal which interior designer it will be working with on the new ISA Sport 120, but the vast majority of the previous models in the series were styled by Cristiano Gatto. The exact engine installation is unclear, but the range certainly lives up to its name with triple MTU diesel engines allowing for a top speed in excess of 30 knots and a cruising range of around 500 nautical miles. Delivery is expected in early 2018.
Other projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the Columbus Oceanic 70 and the ISA SuperSport 121, which features exterior design by Marco Casali.
German design studio Beiderbeck Designs has recently revealed their latest superyacht concept. Coming in at 90 metres, the new design places a strong emphasis on the creation of a truly private vessel.
On board she accommodates guests over several spacious staterooms, whilst the owner can enjoy a completely private owner’s deck, featuring a large sky lounge, BBQ and bar area, a 150 square metre penthouse, owner’s gym and an expansive terrace area with private pools.
The Beiderbeck team expands on the privacy elements throughout her design: “You may need to use your motor yacht for business meetings and exclusive receptions. But, at the same time, you would like an intimate private space on board which can be accessed by only your nearest and dearest, and not just for leisure. This is often the case with superyacht owners who, for the most part, do not have public celebrity status, but still have elite taste and technical dreams."
“They call for mega yacht designs that create a strict separation, whether temporary or permanent, between a luxurious guest area with all the trimmings and the owner’s home. Most important though is that these designs should be generous. This 90-metre, purely private yacht achieves just that, spread out, as it is, over six levels.”
Amongst her notable features on board is a helipad, a small pool and illuminated dance floor both inside and out on the bridge deck, cinema, twin tender garage and a two-level beach club.
