The 470 European Championship ended yesterday with the Medal Races, sailed in a 15 kn breeze.
Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS defended their lead on top of the Open Championship rankings, while Luke Patience/Ryan Willis GBR on rank 2 take the European Champion's title. Winning the Medal Race, Matthias Schmid/Florian Reichstädter AUT advanced on rank 3 (Silver in the Europeans), Sime Fantela/Igor Marenic CRO on the 4th place earn the Europeans' Bronze medal.
Even a Europeans title for Austria was achieved in the 470 Women with Lara Vadlau/Jolanta Ogar AUT defending their lead in the Medal Race against Hanna Mills/Saskia Clarke GBR and Jo Aleh/Polly Powrie NZL. Tina Mrak/Veronica Macarol SLO. 5th and 3rd-best European team earned Bronze.
Dutch builder Storm Yachts have launched a motoryacht dubbed as the X53F. The 'F' designation comes from France and is representative to the specific design to allow her to transit the rivers and waterways with low bridges. She also has a very slim draft, just about 4-feet. The X-53-F is designed according to the requirements of CE category A.
The elegant long prow and super stylish give the X-53 F a dynamic appearance wherever she is berthed. The hull colour is particularly striking and glistening polished stainless steel complements the paint job well. The 16-meter motoryacht weighs in at around 24-tonnes empty and is able to make a speed of 17-knots with the more powerful engine package.
