Only a light wind prevailed on the third day of the ISAF Youths Worlds in Portugal, too light for the windsurfers. All other classes sailed the scheduled two races.
Diogo Pereira/Manuel Macedo POR took the overall leads in the 420 Boys with two race wins, but with a 4 points' backlog, Ibuki Koizumi/Kotaro Matsuo JPN and Mohammad Faizal Norizan/Ahmad Syukri Abdul Aziz MAS at 7 points are still in the race for the title in the four races left. Maxime Bachelin/Philippe Pittet SUI are now on rank 9. A leader change happened also in the 420 Girls, where Silvia Mas-Depares/Marta Davila ESP, day ranks 1 and 2, have now an advance on of 10 points on Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER. Nadja Horwitz/Carmina Malsch CHI remain on the 3rd place. Salomé Rouiller/Louise Thilo SUI progressed slightly on rank 22. Brice Yrieix/Loïc Fischer FRA extended their lead in the 29ers on 18 points. Quinn Wilson/Riley Gibbs USA and Markus Somerville/Isaac McHardie NZL occupy the ranks 2 and 3. A preliminary decision also in the SL-16-catamarans in favor of Louis Flamant/Charles Dorange FRA who extended their lead with two more bullets on 15 points. Jordi and Ruben Booth ESP and Kim Vidal/Antonio Lopes BRA follow on the ranks 2 and 3. The RS:X-windsurfers did not compete. Yael Paz ISR in the Boys and Stefanyia Elfutina RUS in the Girls are the actual firsts in the overall rankings. Spain remains on top of the Nations' rankings ahead of France and Israel.
