After a few days in stable trade winds direction New Zealand, the VOR fleet is now reaching the innertropical convergence zone, the doldrums, and herewith probably the most critical part of leg 4.
The leading 'Brunel' (Bouwe Bekking NED) is already in slackening winds, and the advance on 'Abu Dhabi' (Ian Walker GBR) of 57 miles will most probably melt away in the coming days. Among the winners of the day was the all-female 'SCA' team with Samantha Davies GBR with the fastest speed on their northern route. They overtook 'Dongfeng' (Charles Caudrelier FRA) and are now 5th but still with a 109 miles' deficit on the leader. The group on the ranks 2 to 4 however is only 20 miles ahead of the women.

On the interior, the explorer yacht will be comfortable as well offering guests (up to 12) accommodation in six staterooms. There is an owners cabin along with a VIP-type suite both featuring en-suite bathrooms and large walk-in closets. Twin Caterpillar 3508 C engines are envisioned to power this yacht to a top-end speed of 15-knots. You will be able to sail this yacht almost anywhere, she has an ice-class hull as mentioned before to Lloyds Ice Class 1C. There is a 30mm bottom plate for extra protection as well. The company suggests that the yacht can be built on a semi-custom basis.
