First 460EXP Explorer Launches At SanLorenzo

Italian yard SanLorenzo has launched the first hull in the new 460EXP; Explorer line. Despite having the series title 460EXP, it does not designate her length but rather her Gross Tonnage because she is actually 42.2-meter LOA. The 460EXP presents an elegant solution for owners who want a practical yet stylish option in an explorer-type motoryacht.

With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, she carries all her weight in the right place. The superstructure is set far forward allowing for the aft main deck to be free for tender and toy storage. In fact, the 460EXP is capable of carrying a tender of up to 33-feet.
The first hull is believed to be carrying accommodation for ten guests at double occupancy in five cabins on the lower deck. The owner has a suite forward on the main deck. The uppermost deck on this first hull features a swimming pool. The pool has a special facet allowing guests to continuously swim if they prefer; an endless current mode. She won't be a sprinter and this is not surprising as an explorer-type yacht but what she offers is a long distance cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11-knots. The first hull was sold at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show and you can look out for her on display at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS).
