The latest Ocean Alexander 100 was sold recently and copped a new owner in the process. The yacht is designed by Evan K. Marshall and as usual features a stunning interior that is sure to make her new owner very happy. Accommodation onboard is expected to be for eight guests using four cabins all with ensuite facility.
Guests can enjoy space on three levels aboard the Ocean Alexander OA100 although they will primarily be on the main or lower decks. The third level is an area similar to a skylounge for the guests but also where the yacht is piloted from and since it is fully enclosed, there is no problem when the weather turns less-than-ideal. This feature was one of the selling-points for the owner. “The fully enclosed Skylounge was the deciding factor, they really like that they could operate the vessel in comfort no matter what the weather brings. This configuration also frees up space on the main deck for a forward lounge and desk area,” according to James Corts of MarineMax.
Turkish builder has a 46.8-meter under construction that is expected to be delivered in 2016. The design is by British studio H2 Yacht Design.
The design takes in four decks and a straight bow with three internal decks. Features like a jacuzzi/pool, a beach club, master suite with a balcony and plenty of deck space with al-fresco dining. With ample deck space both fore and aft there is room for sun loungers and sunpads even. Erect the poles for the sunshades and even the shade dwellers come out.
Bilgin Yachts state the yacht is 46.8-meters LOA and has a beam of 9.20-meters, just a shade over 30-feet. Unique Yacht Design has been taking care of the Naval Architecture while H2 Yacht design are both on the interior and exterior design facets of the build. She is being built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Top speed is slated to be just under 17-knots with a cruise speed of 13-knots. The 154-footer will be utilizing twin CAT 1,450 horsepower marine diesels. The yacht is presently in the outfitting stages and will be classed to RINA standards.
