Taiwanese yacht company Horizon Yachts announced recently they launched an E62 for a United States client. The experienced owners conducted intense research and concluded that the Horizon E62 was best fit for their current needs.
They placed the order for the yacht in late 2014. The new owner plans to operate the yacht himself and wants to have his wife with him. A second helm chair for his wife was made so she could accompany him on the flybridge. He was very integrated into the design and build process ensuring what he wanted was done to his satisfaction.
The interior is very classy and even though this is a small yacht, the living spaces onboard are well designed and beautifully finished. The interior incorporates high-gloss walnut finishes and granite surfaces that match in an overall earth tones. An L-shaped sofa in the salon and a large dining table for six in the galley seat the full complement of guests comfortably. Special attention was paid to the lighting, which is easily adjusted from full power to romantic with a touch of a dimmer. The owners also requested that extra outlets and USB ports be installed throughout to allow for smart phone charging or laptop use virtually anywhere onboard. The E62 also has a three-stateroom layout so the owner can have some friends along.
The second hull in the new Sunseeker 155 series has seen the light of day and has been technically launched from her build shed. She is being prepared for actual splashing and already her nameplates have been installed allowing us to know her identity –"Princess AVK"-. Unlike the first hull –"Blush"- who went to a world famous owner and had a very distinctive baby blue hull colour, Princess AVK is more traditional in her colour scheme.
As for the accommodation onboard, the second hull is anticipated to provide berthing for up to twelve in six cabins. For guests, the break down is in three doubles (easily converted into twins), two VIP-grade and one master suite for the owner or very lucky guest. Up to ten crew members will be working onboard Princess AVK too. The yacht makes use of the build brief of connecting to the sea so fold-down balconies were added. During construction this yacht was called Project' Gold Diamond' and when delivered to her owner will be available for charter!
