Heesen Launches 50-meter Superyacht "Sibelle"

Dutch superyacht builder Heesen has a yacht in the final stages of build under the build number YN16750 for launch in 2015. According to Marine Traffic it appears as though this yacht was recently launched with the AIS carrying the name "Sibelle".

If it sounds familiar to you, then you would remember that Heesen built a 44-meter megayacht back in 2008 with the same name, which coincidentally is currently for sale. The new yacht has a very special design, a bit different to what Heesen normally does. First, there is a straight bow and long fore deck. The foredeck, according to renderings is to be the home of the vessel's two main tenders. As for the design, Omega Architects penned the styling lines of Sibelle while AB Studios did the interior design work. Accommodation appears to be for guests in five cabins. Four are on the lower deck and include two VIPs and two twins while the owner has their expansive master suite one deck above on the forward main deck. The yacht features a nearly 30-foot beam surely comfortable enough to enjoy. Sibelle will also be able to sprint if necessary with an anticipated top speed of 18.5-knots thanks to her twin MTU 8V 4000 M63Ls. She complies with MCA and ABS. With the yacht's tenders being stored up front on the lengthy foredeck, it releases the aft transom to be a fully dedicated Beachclub without interference from tender operations. Heesen has not yet commented on the launch of Sibelle.

SanLorenzo Debuts SL86 Motoryacht at Dusseldorf Show

Italian yacht manufacturer SanLorenzo used the 2015 Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany to debut one of its newest models, the SL86.

The SL86 sits between the SL82 and SL96 models of their GRP planing yachts line. The model is brand new and already has sold five units. As you may figure, the SL86 is the step up to the SL82 and offers many improvements with styling, comfort and more obviously, space! The main saloon onboard the SL86 for example, is 2.5-meters longer than on the predecessor. Along with that, the yacht is slightly wider and offers more glazing to take advantage of better views outward from the interior. While the SL86 as a model has debuted at the Show -which runs until the 25th of January- there isn't an actual boat as yet. The first hull is currently under construction and is expected to make her physical debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2015. SanLorenzo is offering two layouts for this new model. The galley can be either placed on the main deck or the lower deck and the VIP can forward in the bow or more central amongst other 'customizations'. Other features include a full flybridge deck with space to sun-worship as well as take a soak in a square jacuzzi. Another SanLorenzo product that debuted at the Dusseldorf Boat Show was the SL76, from the planing line.
