Hatteras had a 70-foot model before, years ago but they now have an all-new 70-footer sleek and sexy motoryacht in this size category.
The yacht comes in under the new 80MY as well as the 100MY being a distinct appeal to owners who will want a luxury yacht to cruise around in for a day or weekend but not necessarily a true live-aboard individual. Now the Hatteras 70 isn't exactly 70-feet as the model name would suggest, she actually comes in at 74.6-feet LOA. A decent beam overall of 21.2-feet suffices and a rather slim draft of just 4.6-feet as expected round out the main dimensional specs. Anticipated to displace around 145,000 lbs, the Hatteras 70MY is powered by a pair of CAT C32A marine diesels. On the inside, the standard layout will provide accommodation for eight guests in four staterooms which are all located on the lower deck. The owner is closer to midships where the horizontal-framed window is. A double berth cabin as well as two twin berth cabins are also available to guests. The decor of the cabins follow the interior design of the rest of the yacht...mirroring the look of the saloon. Light and airy with neutral subdued tones are the order. Out on deck, there is a large hardtop that shades the forward portion of the sun deck. It shades the ample seating area, bar and secondary helm/navigation station. Keep your eyes peeled for more on this new Hatteras model.
Dutch motoryacht builder Steeler Yachts unveiled the latest Steeler motoryacht, the NG57 CS. It is very similar to the NG50, really just being a slightly larger version. Essentially an owner wanted a marginally larger boat than his NG50 order and the NG57 was born out of that consultation.
The client's main wishes are more living space whilst retaining access to the current navigating area. It has been decided to include 2 master bedrooms, each with its own shower and toilet. The living space is divided over 3 sections. A spacious open cockpit on the same level as the wheelhouse. The wheelhouse has 2 seating groups, the 'living room', offering seating for 7 people and an L-shaped dining area. This corner couch is also ideal for guests. In the forward part of the vessel, which is connected directly with the wheelhouse, there is a spacious galley with a large U-couch facing it. The principle dimensions of the new Steeler NG57 CS are a likely 17.25-meter LOA with a 5.30-meter overall beam. The draft as expected is under 1.50-meter at 1.35-meters. This 40-tonne motoryacht will be capable of carrying around 2,500 LT of diesel fuel and approximately 1,000 LT of fresh water to be used around the boat. Steeler says the yacht will be powered by a 305 HP Cummins QSB 6,7 linked to a four-bladed bronze propeller. The new Steeler NG57 CS will now rank as one of their upper offerings to customers thanks to an owner wanting to go bigger with a cosy feel.
