She was built pretty much on spec up until nearly launch time, Heesen didn't have an owner for her. However, May 2014 changed that with the contract being inked on the 19th of that month. She is now the tenth yacht to be launched in the Heesen 47-meter series and the owner is said to be a...‘seafaring enthusiast who is looking forward to cruising with his family in great comfort and style’.
Even though Project 'Margarita' is a sister to the other 47-meter Heesen hulls she bears a few stylistic differences. Frank Laupman of Omega Architects has been responsible for the design, both inside and out. The long seamless window glazing on the forward main deck demarcates where the owner's suite and ensuite bathroom exists. Four cabins for guests are located on the lower deck and comprise of two double and two twin staterooms. Of course, all guest rooms onboard have ensuite bathrooms. Dual MTU 8V 4000 M63s power Project Margarita to approximately 15-knots at half load and a has a 4,000 nautical mile range at 12-knots. Delivery is set for the end of this month, June 30th and is planned to be displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) in September.

The beginning of this year's edition of the Griaglia Cup started this Sunday in St.-Tropez with a short course - 19 miles - won by Mini-Maxi Alegre. Of course during this edition, the start of the Giraglia race will take place this Friday. With 172 boats for this editions it will be nicely disputed. For theresults IRC0 'Ran V' from Niklas Zennström SWE is leading followed by 'Allegre' coming back at second place. On the side of the IRC-1 Vincenzo Onorato ITA with his 'Mascalzone Latino' take the first place and Jean-Jacques Chaubard SUI as got the third place on his GP42.
