After the Swiss Sailing Annual Meeting 2014 of last Saturday, the Swiss Sailors of the Year have been proclaimed, a festival for the two-times America's Cup holder Société Nautique of Geneva. 
Winner in the men's category is Arnaud Psarofaghis SNG, the Moth European Champion 2011, Youth Americas Cup helmsman 2013 and multiple Swiss Champion in several classes had an excellent season 2014 as helmsman of 'Realstone' in the high-prestige X-40-Series, where he is a contender for the podium. In the women's category, Dona Bertarelli SNG, multiple Ocean world-record-holder with her Maxi-Trimaran 'Spindrift' has been elected. The Laser-4.7-World Champion Asya Luvisetto SNG is the Youth Sailor 2014 and Justine Mettraux SNG, 2nd in the Open Mini-Transat and now engaged on 'SCA' in the Volvo Ocean Race is the Offshore-Sailor of the Year. For the Optimist World Champion Nicolas Rolaz CNM, a special prize was handed over.
