Italian builder Fincantieri has unveiled its latest superyacht to the public, the 123-meter 'Vanitas'.
The yacht is their latest attempt to garner interest from the elite pool of potential superyacht owners in the over 100-plus-meter market. The yacht is penned by Andrea Vallicelli and features six decks for guest to roam. Splendid highlights onboard include a large helipad on the bow, an expansive beach club on the aft lower deck. The beach club features a glassed-in transom to allow natural light in from the back as well as fold down terrace on the sea platforms at the side for use at anchor. If that was not enough light, the roof is partially glass which forms the base of the pool on the above aft main deck. There is also another pool situated inside the beach club itself. A big yacht like Vanitas will need a substantial crew complement, 52 of them plus the captain. The yacht is envisioned to have a 20-knot top speed and economically cruise at around 14-knots with a 6,000 nautical range at that speed. Of course Vanitas is a concept but can be personalized for a potential owner who wishes to turn her into reality.
