The concept focuses on ecological solutions including a 160+ square metre solar cell area and a hybrid solution with additional e-engines for propulsion during slow cruising. There is a possibility of installing wind turbines, too.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., based in Miami, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the French shipbuilder STX France for the construction of the fifth ship Oasis-class and two additional ship classes Edge.

The ships are expected to join their owners in spring 2021 and autumn 2021 and 2022.

Royal Caribbean also said that the capacity to 2016 and until 2020 will not change.

The company has taken delivery of its largest ship, "Harmony of the Seas", on May 12, when the ship officially joined the fleet of its owner in Saint Nazaire, France.
