Trogir is almost a museum itself. Since 1997, the historic centre of Trogir has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Trogir assumed its today's form between the 13th and 15th centuries. The grandest building is the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, with the main portal by master Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia. Trogir's medieval core comprises of narrow streets with a series of palaces from the Rennaisance, Romanesque-Gothic and Baroque periods.
