Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche has signed a contract to build a new 40 metre motor yacht called Aurelia 29.
To be built in steel and aluminium to RINA class with exterior design by Hydro Tec, Aurelia 29 is scheduled for delivery in 2020. The client also owns the same yard’s Darwin 102 motor yacht Galego, which is currently listed for sale.
Interior details have not yet been disclosed, although the owners are apparently looking for pure elegance throughout her interiors and a timeless design. One main request from the interior designer's brief is that "nothing should look brand new or like a trendy top-class furniture showroom”.
Twin Caterpillar C32 diesel engines will power her to a maximum speed of 14 knots and, drawing on 60,000 litre fuel tanks, she will have a range of 5,000 nautical miles at ten knots. Zero speed stabilisers will ensure a comfortable cruising experience.
Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 42.8 metre flagship Project K42, which was launched last month.
