Latitude Yachts building 53-meter trimaran "Galaxy"

Remember the "Adastra" by McConaghy Yachts? Of course you do, that was a ground-breaking trimaran design that had everyone talking.

Fast-forward to today and there is another trimaran design, 53-meters long, under construction at Latitude Yachts in Latvia.
The designers are to no surprise, Coste Design & Partners. The vessel will be three decks tall, the lower deck in the main hull, the main deck above and an open-air sun deck for relaxation perched behind the bridge. The main deck is spacious with provision for al-fresco dining on the aft main.
Take two sweeping access stairs on either side of the aft main deck and you ascend to the aft sun deck. This deck features a large jacuzzi pool flanked by sunpads.
As large as the trimaran is, she is only expected to sleep six guests and six crew members. Project 'Galaxy' is the name she is going by is to be powered by a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M94 diesels.
Top speed is expected to be a brisk 28-knots and still-brisk 20-knots cruising speed.
With her construction well-advanced at the moment, delivery is scheduled for the Summer of 2015.
