Nacra 17 - European Championship 2014 - La Grande Motte FRA - Day 2

Spectacular sailing on the second day of the Nacra-17 European Championship thanks to a fresh Mistral allowing the fleet to complete three races split in two groups. The top teams are already in the lead with two race wins each. Vittorio Bissaro/Silvia Securi ITA, day ranks 1/1/4, are first ahead of Billy Besson/Marie Riou FRA, day ranks 1/1/5, and also Allan Norregaard/Line Just DEN, 2/2/4, on 3rd managed the conditions quite well. Some top teams were penalised with black-flag early start disqualifications, but they will no doubt remain in the top-40s for the Goldfleet at the end of the Qualifier Series, among them are Zajac/Frank AUS (bfd/1/6), Bühler/Brugger SUI (bfd/5/6) and Bundock/Curtis AUS (bfd/12/12).
Today, three more races are on the program, before the fleet will be split in a Gold- and Silverfleet. Action guaranteed as the Mistral will stay on ....
